This is one of my favourite paintings to date. The detail captured is transcendent. I invested more time than usual as I just felt such a connection to this gadol, perhaps because he is a contemporary Rov whose face I have been more exposed to. I wanted to portray his simchas hachaim along with his hadras ponim. I felt that every line and wrinkle came from his Torah study and so was vital to capture, it was also a delight to finally be working from a high quality picture and I am thrilled with the results.
