There are few photos of R’ shayale and I could thus only work from a grainy black and white image. I tried to really get into the character and legend of R’Shayale to most accurately portray him with little media aid. I felt that a brown coat would be suited for the time and worked to produce what I imagined to be the appropriate fabric texture. Additionally with all the stories I’ve heard of his character, I endeavoured to capture his warmth with inviting eyes and a kind smile.
