The aim of this painting was to embody unity within the Jewish people, hence it features men wearing shtreimels, bent-down hats and kippas. The cooler palette is warmed up by the gold rush generating a sense of harmony. By having the brushstrokes going in one direction, it results in a more abstract scene; perfect for the modern home. This painting was commissioned to hang on top of the client’s stone fireplace. It really completed their dining room!
