In this painting I endeavoured to capture the way my childlike brain would imagine the scene of receiving the torah; in all almost magical reverie. The mountains surrounding Har Sinai are bare, contrasting the luscious floral landscape of the mountain itself. There is a strong glow radiating from the luchos, lighting up the mountains and the dark sky . I’m obsessed with the colour palette in this painting. It is deliberately saturated by the people with each person a different colour variation from the next to represent our uniqueness as individuals and our ability to join together to create a masterpiece.
