sometimes you have to allow the painting to lead the way, this was a piece that ended up very differently than I initially intended but it felt right. This painting began with neutral colours, a lot of browns, creams and some grey. Then I added a little blue. Than more blue. Then I made the whole thing, Blue! Add some pops of colour and we have a kosel that almost feels like it’s glowing! The texture in this painting is incredible, due to all the layering. Using a pallet knife I made graining on the bricks, similar to what you would see in real life.
