As a highly renowned gadol I felt very familiar with his face and really invested a lot of effort to best encapsulate a man that can’t really be captured. I tried to portray the humility in his face and the warmth radiating from his eyes. I chose a picture where he is holding a magnifying glass, allowing him to learn with ease and I love the way the glass causes the light to bounce behind it on the pages of the gemara. I want the viewer to feel they are catching Reb Moshe in the middle of his learning as he looks up for a brief moment before returning to his beloved Sefer.
