This painting of the Pshvorske Rebbe was commissioned as a gift to the client’s husband. She wanted the painting to match the colour scheme of their dining room; so the background is a subtle mix of greige, copper and taupe. I utilised mixed media to achieve the realistic shine on the becher; using silver leaf as a base that I painted on top of to add the necessary dimension and depth.
